After a fulfilling day of a trip to both the Botanical Garden and Zoo in New York, I feel so tired, yet happy, I believe my boyfriend, who is sitting beside me, feel the same way. Remembering the fight we had last night, I smiled, thankful for the car we rented today which helped solve our problem so easily.
Johnson, my boyfriend, and I were lying in bed planning for our trip in New York, deciding to enjoy a holiday for both of us. Looking on the map, I thought the Botanical Garden would be a good idea because I liked flowers and trees, imagining how wonderful it would be to walk about in nature, and the beautiful environment there could definitely give us a refreshing day. Johnson, however, did not agree with me. He suggested going to the Zoo where he thought was more exciting and would not agree with going to the Botanical Garden because he believed walking and seeing flowers was too boring to call a trip at all. Then we came up an idea that we might go to both places in a day, however, these two sites are on two opposite edge of the map, so we had to give up this idea because going to these two places by bus would be exhausting and cost us most of the day time that we could not even enjoy the attractiveness offered by both sites.
Not to disappoint me and himself, Johnson called his friend who had recently go to for a day trip in New York, and the solution from him was to rent a car. Hearing this, Johnson and I were thrilled, indeed, how stupid we were that we did not think about it. After all, we could afford to rent a car, and both of us had driving license.
So, we got up early this morning and went to a car lot, choosing a little car both of us were quite fond of and going directly to our first destination—the Zoo.
Things went on quite smoothly and satisfactory the whole day. We spent the first half of the day in the Zoo, playing with animals and watching their excellent performance. While in the afternoon, we walked, hand in hand, along a quite road in the Botanical Garden, enjoying the most amazing things that nature has to offer: the setting sun, flying butterflies, and blooming flowers.
Of course, both of us bear gratitude to that little car which helps to settle our disagreement, save our time and energy so we can go to two different sites and enjoy two different kind of relaxing activities. And I am now even looking at the map, planning the next trip. Indeed, with the aid from a vehicle, it is possible to enjoy more beauties around us, isn’t it?
