Shakespeare’s classic tragedy “Macbeth” can be termed as a masterpiece in the world’s literature. It subtly demonstrates how fate, ambition, humanity, and superstitions will impact a man’s life. Macbeth was once a brave, ambitious man. After the glory return, the shaman’s predictions and excessive praise of the king made him change, he changed a loyal courtiers into a regicide. He seized the throne through unrighteous way. He began his tyrannical rein after being the king. He killed his best friends, subordinates and their families and successively and finally set his feet onto the self-defeating road.
Macbeth is the classical tragedy, but after reading it I have no feeling of grief. At the beginning, Macbeth was not a spat by people and not a beast traitor but a hero who had won the battle. What was made him go to the wrong way?What’s Most Unique now?: bridal dress
At first, his ambition. It is not wrong for a warrior to have ambitions, and many great kings in history are all ambitious. However, Macbeth’s ambition did not help him get what he wants, and became one of the causes to his failure. The main reason for Macbeth’s ambition burning is the witches’ prophecy. Witches prophesied that he would become the Thane of Cawdor, then King of Scotland.
Because the wizard’s prophecy has come true, Macbeth thought that he would become the king of Scotland. And therefore, he killed King Duncan and ascended the throne in this indecent way.
The wizard’s prophecy here serves as catalyst which makes the darkest ambition at the bottom of Macbeth’s heart burst into flames. It is just because of the buring of his ambition that he lost his humanity. Macbeth did not hope to assassinate Duncan since he knew Duncan was a good king. However under agitation and provocation of his wife, Macbeth finally took this villainous action.
Therefore, Macbeth’s wife’s encouragement is also important. When mentioning Macbeth’s assassination, then his wife’s importance can’t be overlooked.
Macbeth still had a conscience at first, but he was provocated by his wife, who had said: ‘Do you think the hope you are immersed in is a dream after drunk?’ It awoke now from a sleep dream, and it was frightened with feeble complexion since regretted his rash. From now on I will look your live as same untrustworthy.

These words greatly influenced Macbeth, since no man could suffer the shame of being said as coward. Macbeth’s disappearance of conscience must have something to do with his wife. And the talented lady Macbeth has pushed his husband to the throne, and at the same time pushed him into the bottomless abyss.
If Macbeth felt stirring conscience, then he would not have guilt feeling when killed family of Macduff. Macbeth’s assassination of Banquo is because he felt Banquo was a menace to him and he must kill him. Also for the same reason, Macbeth killed family members of Macduff who has luckily escaped.
If the Macbeth before being the King still had some conscience, the Macbeth after being the King destroyed his instinct. Macbeth started killing in order to keep his throne, and made many Scottish nobles leave the country. Macbeth’s uneasiness came from his superstition. He relied too much on the sorcerer, thinking that the sorcerer’s words were all right. This also sent himself to the road to ruin.
